De Stijl

Named after the Dutch art movement and magazine of the same name from the early 20th century, De Stijl is the second studio album by The White Stripes, released in June 2000.

The album was recorded following the covert divorce of band members Jack and Meg White, who insisted they continue in music. Produced by Jack White, and recorded on an 8-track analog tape in his living room, this became the album that propelled the duo into globe-trotting rock and roll prominence.
